Ringing in the New Year with the Barenaked Ladies!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

This year for New Years Eve (aka my birthday) we went downtown Detroit to the FOX to see my favorite boys The Barenaked Ladies..

Ed my favorite!

Theres just something about Steve... Swoon

The boys singing just for me ( I wish) :)

Even though the seats were pretty high up we had a great view and plenty of room to dance sing. The balcony isn't really that bad. :)

Here's Dave and I waiting for the guys to come on stage.

I couldn't wait for the concert to start and sang along to EVERY SONG! (Even some Dave didn't know. heehee)

Even though I had been very very sick I could not miss the chance to see this concert! It was well worth it. ;)

Crafts...

Today I went to put some items at our booth in the Craftique Mall. I haven't been there in awhile and knew we had sold some things but realized it was almost empty.
After putting some aprons and a cute tote bag for sale it's looking better.

Here's the tote bag, it says christian chick. I thought it was cute! :)

Happy Fourth Of July!!!

We had a smoking good time this year!

For the fourth of July I had the whole weekend off! woo-hoo!
We had lots of fun at bbq parties and shooting off fireworks at our house.

Dave's Aunt Naomi had a BBQ at Paton Park in Southwest Detroit for the family. It was a beautiful day and fun to spend time outside with the family.

David and Angel cooked us some meat:

We were stuffed:
The Fejioo Family had a great day, ate lots of food, and enjoyed the parade, then off to the next party!
We went to the fireworks on sunday to end off the festival.

For the long weekend we also went to the Farmers Market in Depot Town ,Ypsilanti. They were having a Camero Fest car show, but we skipped it to check out the fish in Frog Island park. :) We also went to a few antique stores, the flea market and dinner and a movie with some friends!

All in all a Great Long Weekend!

Hope you had a great Fourth of July as well!

Beauty Tips
Written by Sam Levinson

FOR ATTRACTIVE LIPS
Speak words of kindness

FOR LOVELY EYES
Seek out the good in people

FOR A SLIM FIGURE
Share your food with the hungry

FOR BEAUTIFUL HAIR
Let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day

FOR POISE
Walk with the knowledge that you will never walk alone

People, even more than things, need to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed; never throw out anybody

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand you will find one at the end of your arm

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourselves and one for helping others.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.

Last week someone reminded me the meaning of being beautiful. :)

This poem reminded me of them.

Thank you for keeping me grounded and never letting me walk alone. (even when i think i do!)

JENNY WHO????????????

Who is Jenny??? I keep hearing this girls name over and over at work lately.

How annoying is it for someone to just decide your name is Jenny?

Well it is VERY ANNOYING!

Not to be a complainer as some of you sometimes think of me, let me explain...

We have a new girl at work, UGH!

New to work not to me. We have known each for almost 17 years off and on. She has decided to call me Jenny, no one calls me that except for Dave's family. Never do I allow anyone else to call me that and all my true friends know my name is Jennifer or Jenn NEVER Jenny. But alas, she insists and it has been driving me crazy and now my coworkers are catching on.

I remember now why we stopped talking.... not to complain or anything. :)

Eastern Market Flower Sale Downtown Detroit

Today we drove Aida to her bus at the greyhound station downtown. She is on her wayo to Kentucky and then Home to Puerto Rico for a few weeks. I know she is sad to leave her new condo here in Michigan but excited to see Ed's baby Ditto and go home to check on her chickens in P.R.
After dropping her at the station we were ready to hit the flower sales! I can't remember ever being at Eastern market but I most likely have. I know I haven't been to Flower Day weekend!

What a Mad House! People were everywhere and we arrived early. I think we actually got a preety close parking spot about 2 blocks away, although after the third tirp to the car with heavy baskets of flowers it didn't seem so close at all. I thought maybe we should have brought a wagon but honestly thought well we won't be buying tooo many things... Wrong!

Even thought it was cold and rainy and the food was very expensive we had a great time and I would definetly go again next year, with a wagon of course.
